This post is specially dedicated to my two students, Thana and Sabila, who have this strange likeness (or fetish?) for “moles” which is something that I unfortunately still can’t figure up till today. I told them I would write a book on moles for them one day, but here’s a blog post first. I wonder if they will actually see this, but well never mind. They know that I love them. Haha.

I had a hilarious conversation this afternoon. My mom and her friend, aunty Jamie, commented that if a person has moles on the back of the body, it would mean that he/she would have to keep working throughout his/her whole life. The mole on the back symbolizes a burden or responsibility that the person would have to continuously carry.
I showed them my mole on my back, which is closed to my neck.
MOM: It means that you have to keep working. Oh but mine’s in my chest area, so it’s okay. It’s okay for the mole to be right in front. Because if you can see the mole, you would have a better life and good luck. (says proudly and rattles off in some cantonese that I cannot understand)
ME: Oh I have another mole that’s in my chest area. Does that count? Will they “balance” out?
AUNTY JAMIE: Yes probably so, you will have both of each!
MOM: Oh there’s another kind. If the girl has a mole on her genitals, it’s very good!
ME and GRACE (Jamie’s daughter): WHAT?!!! (shocked)
AUNTY JAMIE: Yes! If the mole is on her vagina! (excitedly)
MOM: Yes, it’s true! The girl will have a very blessed life and a lot of good things will come in her way! (excitedly)
ME: But but but… WHY??!! (dumbfounded)
AUNTY JAMIE: Because it only happens in very few cases. One in a million! That’s why the girl will be lucky!

I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s ridiculously hilarious! Maybe I was imagining it. Haha!
Great that I found something that makes me laugh to blog about! My student JK complains that my blog posts are too dramatic. Oh wells. I know exactly what the right thing to do. Give him more work to do. Muahahaha. (lets out an evil grin)
I hope I have made you laughed, if it doesn’t, maybe this will.

It’s ME!
