Miracles

This is gonna be a happy post, I promise. There is no reason for me to be unhappy after such an awesome experience. Amazing things do happen, when you put your heart to it. If you want to see a miracle, first be a miracle, then start creating miracles.

I never knew how much our friendship meant to us. I never knew how far we were willing to go for our dear friend to give her the best present we could. I never knew how amazing we could be.

Suddenly a lot of memories came rolling back to me. As we sat down together to “hatch” our plans, I realised a lot of things. We haven’t worked together with one another for such a long time, yet our characters haven’t changed much. We are still very much the same people we knew when we were in school.

Despite our differences in personalities and characters, we shared the same frequency, the same jokes, the same optimism and the same concern for one other. We always love surprising one another. We always love to see the happy looks on our faces. We always challenge ourselves with the impossible for something we believe in. We put our hearts and souls to do the best we could with what we have. We always know we could trust one other for that.

In the midst of living in this realistic world, I am very happy that there is this group of friends here who shares the similar outrageousness yet at the same time, sincerity. Perhaps the love and care we have for one another have grown without us realising as we grow up.

Another new thing was learnt yesterday. There are some friends you probably wouldn’t have any idea how helpful they can be until you need urgent help and they agree readily without any conditions and fulfill their promise. You know these are the people you can trust and rely on.

I only requested for his help around 1245AM. For his help the next day at 745PM. I told him that he could leave around 9PM or so. Without failing me, he rushed from the west back to the east and arrived punctually. Yet he stayed on to help us in some segments of our event and even in our “evacuation crisis” till the end.

This person is none other than my poly mate Willie Koo! I don’t know how appreciative to show how appreciative I am! Name a price, name a place, I promise a whipping treat/present! (PS: The first part of the sentence sounds wrong though. Haha!)

Speaking of the evacuation crisis, it was due to some miscommunication. Whether who was at fault or who was responsible, it didn’t seem to matter. What touched me was, everyone took the responsibility. I was amazed at how fast things were done as everyone jumped in to render their valuable help. I felt very bad actually because I never expected things to turn out this way, but nobody blamed nobody and the support from everyone was incredible. Perhaps we would never have learnt so much about people, if things were going so smoothly.

Finally… I never had such a experience of witnessing before. As I was sat at the table, I could feel how my dear friend was feeling when she was crying through her tears of joy. Tears filled my eyes as I felt how much she had to go through. I don’t remember the exact words that were said, but I was feeling the entire process. Three simple words, when said with real feelings and intention, just meant so much.
