I woke up this morning in a brightly lit room. Crap. I forgot to switch off the lights again.
Then I started thinking about yesterday night. I broke into a smile.
I’ve always love surprises. And I was part of one, just last night. It was a marriage proposal surprise! :D
My friends Marcus and Jacinta are happily engaged now! I captured the whole thing on video (yay!) but more details published will have to be subjected to their approval! Haha.

And then I thought of other surprises that I was involved in.
“Little note” is a short film by Singaporean director Royston Tan. It replays childhood memories of the protagonist as he misses his mom and home when he’s overseas.
My cousin Gavin, who is currently based on the other side of the globe, wanted to give his mom a surprise. He wrote a card for her but it was posted to my house. I bought the DVD of the short film and placed it together with his card. As she comes to my house regularly for a Korean drama DVDs exchange (haha!), my mom passed her this DVD for extra viewing. Indeed, she was pleasantly surprised and happy! :)
Surprises make us so happy as they catch us unaware yet leave behind a trace of happiness!
You should have seen Jacinta’s expression. It was priceless. Haha.
I’ve video-ed weddings, and now even proposals. What’s next? Child’s birth? Haha.
Proposals are so sweet! (clears throat) I wouldn’t mind it for a second time. A bit more romantic wouldn’t harm. Hehe!
XXXXX, are you listening? :)
